What Makes Milwaukee A Fun Place To Visit
Are you making vacation plans? If so, you are probably taking a look at common destinations like Las Vegas, Disneryworld, and California. These are typical choices because you have pretty good idea ahead of time of what you are getting yourself into. The only problem with chosing these vacation spots is that everyone else does as well. Therefore you will be spending your time in crowded areas.
You have much better things to do during your vacation then wasting your time and energy fighting the crowds. Why would you want to be around thousands of other tourists? When there is a higher demand from tourists, the costs of the hotel and rental car increase and can become quite expensive.
Why not save you and your family from dealing with the large crowds? Why not spend your vacation days relaxing by on a nice beach overlooking a pristin lake? You can have all the services that a big city has to offer without any set backs. Does this place exist? Yes! Head to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a vacation? Yes, definitely. Milwaukee is Wisconsin's largest city. It is on the beatiful shoreline of Lake Michigan. There are festivals in the summer that attract tourists, fine food, and a bunch of fun activities.
One highlight of the festival activities is Cathedral Square. This square is close to Lake Michigan. There are several tasty, fun restauarants to dine in around this area. There is active night life and great shopping as well. You can take in the local culture by attending a free concert in the summer and eat out for a reasonable price. There is plenty to do in the winter, such as witness the breathtaking lights in Cathedral Square.
Do you like animals? Check out the Milwaukee County Zoo. Upwards of 3,000 animals call the zoo their home. It is a spectacular adventure for children and the entire family. There is a petting zoo and educational activities. Adults can partake in the cross-country skiing trail.
Are you into art? If so, you will want to check out the Milwaukee Art Museum. It is close to Lake Michigan. It houses an extensive, varied collection of paintings, sculpture, and photography. If you are hungry they have a cafe to fill your stomach with delicious food. Throughout the year the museum has dancers and performers demonstrate their talents for your entertainment.
Milwaukee may not seem like the most exciting destination for your vacation. But isn't a vacation supposed to be relaxing? Too many times we find ourselves lured in by the glitz and glamour of some of the other more popular destinations simply because they have larger advertising budgets. But when we get there, we are confronted with hassle after hassle to the point that we cannot wait to get home. Milwaukee offers a great alternative to all of the bells and whistles of the other hot vacation spots and may just be the place to go if you actually want to sit back and unwind from a hectic year at work.

Srinagar? City of Dal Lake
Srinagar? City of Dal Lake
by: Aadil Mukhtar
If you've longed for the delights of a houseboat holiday, now is the time to try one out.
Srinagar is a unique city because of its lakes - the Dal, Nigeen and Anchar. The River Jehlum also flows through a part of the city.
The Dal, Srinagar's largest lake, has the most number of houseboats, followed by the Nigeen and the Jehlum.
As a general rule, houseboats in the Dal are of all categories, from deluxe through to D class, while those in the Nigeen are largely luxury class and those in the Jehlum largely economy class. This, however, is a generalization.
Most houseboats on the Nigeen and the Jehlum are situated on the banks of the lake, and can be accessed directly from land without the help of a shikara, while all those on the Dal require a shikara to get to and from them.
Most houseboats on the Dal are situated in long straggling rows; some face the Boulevard, Srinagar's most...

Choose The Perfect Fishing Trip Destination
by: Sintilia Miecevole
One of the first things you must do to plan a great fishing trip is to identify your priorities. You need to be more specific than just saying you want great fishing. Great fishing may mean different things to each person in your fishing party.
One person might be happy with catching 20 fish per day, while another might be expecting 30 fish per hour. So, you need to decide this up front.
Let's take a look at some of the most important things to consider when deciding where to go on your fishing trip.
What type of fish do you want to catch?
While this may seem obvious, it is something that needs to be discussed. One person may want to fish for walleye and northern pike, while others may want to go bass fishing. Since many northern lakes have water too cold for bass, you may end up at a lake that would really disappoint the bass fisherman.
Do you want...

Monsters And Other Creatures
by: Kenneth J. McCormick
What was it, that legend states, that was killed by two cowboys in Arizona in 1890? According to the local stories, a creature was in the desert in Arizona when a couple of cow pokes happened to come across it. At first they were frozen with fear because the creature was like nothing they had ever seen before. It was a huge creature and it could fly. It's body looked more like a snake than a bird and it had fearsome claws. The face of the creature looked like that of an alligator or crocodile and it's wings were huge. This was definitely a case of shoot first and ask what it was later. To give you an idea of the size of the creature, it is said that the wingspan was over 160 ft. I am sure that this measurement grew as the years passed as these things often do.
So why has this story flourished to this day? Could it have been because a photo was supposedly published of the monster, in the Tombstone...

Exploring Downtown Orlando - A Beautiful Walk Around Lake Eola
by: Susanne Pacher
After our interesting visits to the Orange County Regional History Center and the Well's Built Museum of African-American Culture and History, we decided to continue our explorations of downtown Orlando and its surrounding historic neighbourhoods. After driving through beautiful residential areas, framed by majestic oak trees adorned by Spanish Moss, we decided to take a stroll around beautiful Lake Eola, which is just minutes from downtown's Heritage Square, home of the Orange County Regional History Center, and every second, third and fourth Saturday of the month is also home to a lively farmer's market. By this time, the sun was starting to set and Lake Eola and the surrounding highrises were bathed in the golden hues of sunset.
Lake Eola is one of Orlando's more than 300 lakes and is surrounded by established residential areas and highrises ringing the downtown...
